The After School offers a full range of weekly sessions during the school year and holiday camps during the school holidays. This 100% English-speaking offer is available in our two centres, in Chatou and Maisons-Laffitte, which are purpose-built to encourage your Monster or Teen to develop a positive and independent use of English.
Baby Monsters & Mini Monsters: 3-6 years old
From age 3 we provide Monsters with a safe and reassuring environment in which they can learn, make mistakes and grow. Our goal is to support each Monster’s development by supporting and encouraging their knowledge and understanding of the world, while creating a structured educational experience. We offer a full range of activities and games to support and grow the knowledge and recognition of pictures, numbers, and words. Our strong arts and crafts focus is key to each workshop and provides Monsters with a new and exciting way of expressing themselves.
Routine
Upon arrival, Monsters are welcomed by the teachers into an English-speaking environment and are invited to take off their shoes. The younger Monsters start with their own choice of activity: making a puzzle, exploring a book, playing a game, etc. Then, the Monsters gather and the group goes through the roll call which is followed by the wall calendar and, occasionally, Music Time.
Workshop
The sessions are topic-based with each topic lasting 3 to 4 weeks. Each workshop consists of 3 to 4 activities: arts & crafts, language games and activities, songs and music as well as literacy and numeracy. This allows Monsters to get involved and teachers to implement the pedagogical objectives in an attractive and stimulating way. The activities are designed to be interactive and encourage learners to feel comfortable in expressing themselves.
Send-off
Each session ends with a goodbye song, then the Monsters come out of the classroom, put on their shoes and coats, and remember to collect their work before going home!

Young Monsters & Little Monsters: 7-10 years old
From the age of 7, we broaden our expectations and approach: Monsters explore all four aspects of communication (listening, speaking, writing, reading) in class. We structure our units over longer periods of time in order to explore each topic in-depth, fostering a more complex, spontaneous expression as well as further developing comprehension strategies and skills.
Communication activity
The Monsters start with a warmer activity when they arrive. Our aim here is to encourage them to express themselves, by interacting in a familiar situation or exercise.
Exploration & discovery of language points and topic
For 5 to 7 weeks, the Monsters take part in different activities which cover all aspects of communication. They work in pairs or groups, before applying their language skills in an individual setting. Each theme is usually marked by one or two collective production(s): mini video presentations, role plays, class performances or posters. Our idea is to provide Monsters with a relaxed and attractive learning environment as well as clear instructions to encourage a more independent expression.

Junior Teens & Senior Teens: 11-17 years old
Our After School Club sessions are 100% English-speaking and provide a relaxed, supportive environment for Teens going into Collège and Lycée to pursue their learning. In an open and stimulating environment, these sessions cover all aspects of communication: listening, speaking, writing, and reading. The units are structured around a set topic which is developed and analysed over a period of 6 to 8 weeks. The aim is to refine and reinforce each Teen’s existing skills and knowledge as well as accompanying his or her further development: acquiring additional analytical and assessment skills as well as the ability to interact spontaneously in a broad range of situations.

Holiday Camps: 3-10 years old
During the school holidays, we offer week-long holiday camps. From Monday to Friday, these 3 daily hours allow Monsters to discover, explore, and learn in a 100% English-speaking environment. For each camp and for each group there is a set theme which flavours all the week’s activities, games, worksheets, and art or craft projects. The first half of the camp is dedicated to literacy, numeracy and games activities, while the second half is dedicated to creative and visual arts projects.
This well-structured and popular programme is interrupted halfway through with a snack and a break. During our holiday camps, productions have included mini video presentations, poetry, promotional content design and creation.
Holiday Camps: 11-17 years old
During the school holidays, we offer one-week themed holiday camps. From Monday to Friday, these 3 daily hours are structured to encourage the expression and discovery of Teens in English. Each week has its own theme which varies according to the time of year and the group of Teens. The theme is disseminated through the activities, games, and work of the week.
By covering all aspects of communication, our aim is to encourage Teens to review and refine their existing skills and knowledge. This allows them to become more fluent and accurate, while encouraging them to express their ideas independently in English. This popular program is interrupted by a snack break that allows Teens to interact with each other in English. We provide a structured learning environment, but we let our imaginations run wild as we think about the various productions produced during our camps: mini video presentations, poetry, text analysis, promotional content… The possibilities are numerous!
